We just moved cross country to New England from CA and our new house has a screened in back porch with hideous green carpet(?) faux astroturf (?) indoor putting green type stuff covering the floor. I'd like to replace it with something that will wear well in a semi outdoor environment, the room has just screens, no glass so I'm figuring I need something more durable than vinyl tiles etc but I don't really know what options are out there. Since you're the experts I thought I'd appeal to your knowledge base, maybe someone has an idea of what we can do? I'd love the look of wood for the space but I'm open to other options.

If you want to use wood I'd look into wood that is often used on decks and other outdoor surfaces. Ipe (and I believe bangkirai) has tongue and groove porch flooring options. We have a bangkirai deck. We let it go grey rather than trying to treat it and keep it brown since it is so exposed to the elements, but in a screened porch it may be easier to treat it and keep it brown. We've had it for 14 years and the only maintenance we've had to do is power wash it once or twice.
Not sure if you’re looking for simple & cost effective or something else, or what style you’re going for. On the opposite ends, I would choose either encaustic tile or snap together deck tiles like these.
