I'm still reading The Possible World by Liese O'Halleran Schwartz. I should finish it tonight. I had a bunch of holds all come in at once at the library, but I think I'll read Burying Water next.
Qotw: I like the ones where I learned something or got inspiration from other's answers. I cannot think of an example at the moment.
I’m reading The Unkept Woman by Allison Montclair — character-driven mystery series, set in mid 1940s London, that is so far always fun and satisfying.
QOTW: I like the ones about books because I get good reading ideas, but I think we’re running out of new ways to talk about books!
I had a run of books that I didn’t like and gave up this week!
Actually finished
Lovely Girls by Margot Hunt (good idea but clunky)
Wrong Place, Wrong Time by Gillian McAllister (interesting time travelly take but it ended up being more of a romance than a mystery)
NSFW by Isabel Kaplan (ok)
What's Coming to Me by Francesca Padilla (better idea than reality)
The Family Remains by Lisa Jewell (a sequel that didn’t need to be made)
All of the library branches near me are closed indefinitely because of air conditioning issues. I hoping they will be fixed or open for a few hours on cooler days or something! I have a huge amount of books that are “in transit” for me that I can’t redirect and some are work research. I’m a little frustrated they aren’t updating the info at all. In the past they’d redirect your books or send them to a community center or the library would open for a few hours. It’s a busy time! I keep seeing people trying to get in. I also don’t know what to do with my checked out books.
I’ve been listening to the Count of Monte Christi but think I’m going to give it up, it’s hard to listen when I have so many disruptions. I’m also reading The Nineties and Our Woman in Moscow. Nineties is 10 days overdue at the library 😬
QOTW: I like the ones that have us talk about when we were younger, memories, Halloween costumes, favorites, etc.
I finished Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow. It was truly fantastic. I loved everything about it. It is probably the best book I have read in several years both in terms of the story and the writing. There was one part that will stay with me for a long time.
I also read Dark Waters by Katherine Arden. I didn't enjoy it as much as the previous instalments but it seems to be setting everything up for the last book.
Now I am reading More Than You'll Ever Know by Katie Gutierrez. I'm a little skeptical but the premise is interesting. I also like that it's partially set in Mexico City. We're going back there in January and I cannot wait.
QOTW: I also like the nostalgic ones. I feel like I only come up with ones about food and travel though!

Reading The Age of Light right now and getting close to finishing it. I have a library book I need to start and another one ready for pickup so I need to get reading! 😂
QOTW: I'm not too picky. The ones where I can get ideas are nice, like book related ones, favorite vacations, food related, etc.
