What brand, model do you recommend? We are replacing the GE that we had installed as part of our build. Needless to say it's a piece of junk. Anyone have a Kitchenid Freeflex?. I really want to have the third row but with some flexibility to put small bowls cups etc.
We ordered a new dishwasher when we thought we were moving. It was a Samsung and it was scheduled for delivery last week, but showed up with a dent. H and I looked at it decided it looked ugly and that we wanted something else and took the opportunity to refuse delivery, cancel the order, and ordered a Bosch which will be delivered in a few weeks. I love that this one will have a 3rd rack. H is not great at loading the dishwasher and my whole second rack gets taken up with large utensils.
We currently have a Kitchenaid which I would keep if it didn’t look so bad (old and the black doesn’t go with our kitchen). It does a great job.
We had a GE Cafe in our old house and it never got the dishes very clean.

We used to have a Bosch when we were renting my mom’s house (bought new while we were living there). I miss it terribly. It cleaned better than any dishwasher I’ve ever had and was silent.
Our appliance guy recommended against the type with the panel hidden in the door because he often sends techs out for those because the steam messes with the electronics over time. They look a lot nicer, but he said they’re a huge headache.
We've been very happy with it. I really love the red light indicator that it's running, and it's very quiet.
If you plan to DIY the install, we had to add a receptacle behind it because the previous dishwasher (probably original) was hard wired and this one had a plug. NBD, but it was a step we didn't initially plan on.
