We're going to Antarctica in November. We'll have 4-5 days in Buenos Aires before going down to Ushuaia to board the ship. After disembarkation, we'll have about 4-5 days on the back end as well before we have to fly home. So, two-part question:
1. Do you have recs for things to see/do/eat in and around Buenos Aires (we love eating local and are into all kinds of activities, museums, etc.)

Logistically I think Uruguay would be a lot easier to add on at the end. Coming from Ushuaia, I think you'd have to fly through Buenos Aires and Uruguay would be quicker. I haven't been but my mom spent a week in Montevideo and said it was a really nice city to drink wine and enjoy the ocean.
Do you mind sharing what cruise you're doing and what the COVID cancellation policy is? I'm so afraid to book something and then end up with COVID on day two and then be in isolation the rest of the expedition, losing many 1000s of $s.
