OMG. 

The woman who said basically "well yeah, my oncologist and the surgery helped cure my cancer, but Dr. Mercola really saved me." Wow. 

This guy is like the Alex Jones of health disinformation.

Ugh. I'll have to watch this - although I'm scared to. I have a family member who was all about Dr. Mercola awhile back. We fought a lot at the start of covid.

It's fuck!ng terrifying to see the depth of his disinformation and how entrenched people are in his dangerous deceptions, all the while he's getting rich off of it.

That's exactly it - and I kept telling him to follow the money. This guy isn't telling you things to save you or be nice, he's profiting off of it - figure out how and then you'll know whether to follow him or not.

Anyway. The disinformation campaigns still baffle me how people get sucked in and why. I'm still trying to make sense of all of it. Still.

I'm pretty sure my dad is dead because of him. He became very against most medical care and went to some clinic in California for heart issues instead of taking a statin (which doctors only prescribe to get rich). And then he dropped dead of a heart attack due to clogged arteries a few years later.

Oh my goodness. I am so sorry. I can't imagine the pain of watching a loved one fall for this misinformation at the peril of their own health.

These are the same people who talk about "big pharma" and that it's all about the money. Makes no sense.

Mercola has been on my radar since at least 2007. My only mercola loving friend has long since ditched him, so it surprises me that this is the 2nd time this week I've seen him mentioned.

I hate him as much as I hate Wakefield. I actually attended a Wakefield lecture at the Boulder public library as part of a science medicine group I was in. Our collective blood pressures were sky high, but we were there to record and later post actual science based rebuttals.
