I've been following this story since some local rescues have gotten some of these beagles. Man, I want one of these so bad...but I'm not at the 2 dog spot yet. Not sure if I ever will be.
Aww My friend adopted one of these beagles, and he is A LOT of work. She had to hire a behavior specialist and has invested so much time and money into training/socializing him. Big cheers to everyone willing to take on the care of these dogs.
I told my dad about the beagles since his beagle died last year. He joked about getting them all, but so far no luck in having him adopt one.
My feel good Thursday is that I found out about my raise today! Yay. Also, the city where I work should be refunding the 2021 wage tax (since I didn't actually work IN the city any day of 2021) next week, just in time for my vacation.
My parents have one and she barks like CRAZY whenever someone comes into the house but then is silent the rest of the time. Can totally sneak up on you.
Aw, that’s sweet! We have a 12yo beagle, and my husband and I were each thinking we wanted to try to adopt one. It turns out our local rescue wasn’t getting any of them; the president of the rescue explained that the judge chose the rescues, and made having a large facility a condition. They do all foster families, so she was turned down.
A few days later, she posted a litter of beagle mix puppies that had been turned in to a rural shelter, and we adopted Lucy - named after Lucille Ball, whose birthday was Lucy’s adoption day. 🥰
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
