Disney Aulani

We are headed to Oahu, and staying at Aulani on 10/31-11/6. Looking for recommendations for a photographer for family photos, things to do with a 3 year old (a very impatient and moody 3 year old). We know we want to do Pearl Harbor. Not sure what else. We will have a car.

I'd probably use the photographers at Aulani for your pics! I'm sure you can book a session. I was there in... gosh, 2018? and pretty sure I remember the photographers doing family shoots as well as just capturing stuff around the resort.

There’s an Aulani FB group - lots of suggestions there including photographers. We went for 10 days in June. It was an amazing time.

We loved the North Shore Tour (Shaka app). I didn’t think the Dole Plantation was worth it even though - the kids enjoyed the train ride.

We spent most of our time at the resort - our kids are 9,5,5

I really appreciated Pearl Harbor. But I went there pre-kids. I would not take either of my kids when they were age 3 there, especially if they were impatient and moody. On our most recent vacations when DS was a very active 3 and 4, all he wanted to do was play in the pool, play at playgrounds, play with some new vacation toys, take a bath in the tub, etc. I'd probably do a character meal at Aulani, DS warmed up to the characters by his last day on our most recent Disney trip. If I took him to Oahu and wanted to go off the resort, I'd do a drive to the North Shore and tell him we were taking a trip to the beach. All public beaches in Hawaii are free. He would love playing at the beach as well.

We just got back from Hawaii and were in Oahu for a week. We loved the North Shore and spent most of our time up there snorkeling and visiting different beaches. Shark’s Cove is great for snorkeling and has enough really shallow parts that your kiddo could explore, too. The food trucks were all so good. Our friends did a tour at Kualoa Ranch and said it was awesome, so that’s definitely on our agenda for next time.
