BQ: How does your kids being in school affect your workout/training schedule? If you don't have kids, do you change your workout/training schedule this time of year?
BQ: Towards the 2nd week of Sept., a lot of the group bike rides will move to 6:00 pm start as the days get shorter. Shorter days make me sad! If I do a group ride, I'll leave the house a bit earlier than normally would. I leave at the same time I usually do if I'm going somewhere by myself to train as I'm usually on the bike by 5:30-5:45.
Fri - biked 2.6 mi, ran 3 mi with my friend Sat - ran 3 mi while DD1 biked Sun - biked about 4.2 mi and played tennis with DD2, swam 72 laps (outside)
School won’t really impact workouts. The kid sports (pretty much every day) and commuting (twice a week) will though. I’ll just try to squeeze something in whenever I can.

Fri: off Sat: 14.1 mile run (was supposed to be 18 but the heat did me in) Sun: 4 mile run
I don’t have kids, so the only thing this time of year changes for me is when I can run outdoors (don’t like to run in the dark). But now that I work from home, even that’s not a big change anymore.
Fri: 3ish mile run and strength Sat: 75 min Peloton cycle Sun: 18 mile outdoor bike
BQ: It doesn't change much when school starts. My kids' sports are pretty much year round, and that is the most challenging thing for us schedule wise. At least one or both has something nearly 7 days a week. If I work from home, I workout at noon. If I go into the office I usually workout after work, but there will be more occasions now that school starts I will have to get my workout done in the morning. And its a struggle. I am not a morning workout person!
BQ: I have a 5 year old in K. He’s been on a school schedule for about 2 years already since his preschool followed the public school calendar. No real change in my workout routine when school starts. I work full-time, so I really stick to weekend work-outs and at least 1 weekday workout. I also hate the shorter days because my weekday work outs are usually at 6.
