Starting to plan a post-graduation trip for January. January is non-negotiable because this is a very intense 16 month program and I need this vacation.
Anyway, I found some reasonable flights to Cape Verde and the Azores. I'm thinking 8 days in Cape Verde and 5 days in the Azores. Since it won't be warm enough for sitting on a beach, we'll likely try to do a lot of hiking and exploring in the Azores.
Any tips for where to stay and what to do? So far, I've really only looked at flights and weather stuff. 😂
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Not sure what there is to do for 8 days in Cape Verde. We were there in Dec. and it was pretty warm. You might want to look at Madeira too.
At least half of that time will be on a beach/swimming (if not all). That's my top requirement for this trip, along with something off the beaten path.
