We are heading to Universal next week. Haven't been to Florida in many years. I'm torn between comfy gym clothes and something cute. I'm worried about sweating and getting caught in the rain. But I also don't want to look like a bum. We will have 3 children with us ages 4-21.

Honestly, I wore dry-fit gym clothes almost every day and it was perfect. I even dressed my kids in dry-fit. The days we wore cotton tee shirts they complained nonstop about how hot and sweaty they were.
Comfy 100%. I went to universal earlier this year; I wore black leggings, a cool flowy top, and my most comfortable sandals. And a fannypack 😂 - it was the perfect outfit, IMO.
On our recent trips, almost nobody wore cute shoes. People with cute shoes are pretty quickly left in the dust!
I wore a skort (athleta or amazon have lots) and a dry fit shirt. I wore a shorts romper one day. For Disney, I wore a cotton Mickey tshirt and joggers. Always walking shoes.

I dress for comfort. When it’s warm, I wear athletic clothing (shorts and tank tops). I don’t think I look like a bum. Everything I wear fits well and is in good condition.

Comfy. I usually wear athletic skorts or athletic capris on the bottom and sports bra and t-shirt on top. (Switching to a sports bra the last couple times we went, especially the one trip in August, was a game-changer!) Depending on time of year, I may bring a long sleeve or sweatshirt for the early morning or evening times. I also wear athletic shoes that have been broken-in and are comfortable for walking.

TBH I always have aspirations of looking cute, but after 20 minutes in the humidity any attempts at makeup have melted away, my hair looks like crap, and I'm sweaty, so IMO it isn't really worth the trouble. When we go in a few weeks I'll be wearing lightweight bicycle-style shorts (comfy and light, but they hold up against chub rub), lightweight Disney t-shirts, comfy sneakers (On Cloud and Hokas), Bombas socks because they're the bomb, cute Disney ears, and a ponytail.
