I think he was supposed to be talking to the machine itself. In the video feed machine view, red words came up saying something like "evaluating options". I liked the finale although I'm not sure I followed it totally! Who was the girl they called root?

I'm SO glad it got a second season! I can't wait to find out what happened to Finch! Did they kill Alisha? I don't know who she is either but was surprised they got rid of her since she was in a bunch of flashbacks.

Man, I hope they replay the season over the summer. This is one show i actually really want to watch again, in order this time!

I'm not 100% sure who he is talking to on the payphone, but in the previous episode Finch answered the pay phone and I believe he got the next persons info.

I missed them mention a woman Root, but I just checked out the P of I CBS page and someone called the psychologist "Root" and said she is "the superuser of all operating systems, and Finch's nemesis."

I thought I paid close attention through the entire season, but clearly I missed some clues. LOL.

There was one episode where a woman was doing things to them. At the time,I thought it was the hitwoman but it must have been the therapist.

Yes, she was in the episode where the politician was killed and his murder was blamed on a guy who had been fired from his job. It was a big coverup and Finch was dealing with a female hacker.

Is the actress who plays "Root"/the therapist from Angel? She looks familiar.

The actress playing Root is from Angel. She played Fred. She also did guest spots in Grimm and Once Upon a Time.
