MN Nursing Strike

Has anyone been following?

15,000 nurses from 15 hospitals in MN were on strike this week for 3 days.

The nurses have been trying to negotiate a contract for at least 5 months. A month prior to the strike, Fairview/U (one of the larger organizations) cut their current traveler wages significantly and those travelers either cut or didn't renew, leaving them in a difficult position once the strike was authorized. Crisis contracts were offered at 8k for the week.

I've heard about it tangentially because I have friends that had to reschedule medical procedures.

My H's cousin is one of them I believe. I know her mom/H's aunt posted some things supporting them. That's about as much as I know though. I hope they get what they're asking for.
