I want to give my 90's bathroom a facelift. It's very boring. The tub/shower insert, toilet, and vanity top are that like bone/biscuit color, so not a nice bright white like I would prefer. I'm pricing out replacing everything, but more than likely, I'm probably just going to give it a facelift for now because I want to put my money into redoing my basement.
That said, if I keep what I have now, I'll paint the walls (leaning towards SW Sea Salt) and put down a new vinyl floor. The current vanity would need to painted, but I'm not sure what color I should paint it. Any suggestions?
It's a very small bathroom, and currently is painted a navy blue. I love the color, but it's pretty beat up after 7 years and needs a refresh for sure.

Here's a photo where someone painted their old vanity navy. Looks like the counter color you describe even. I'd do a cream on the walls and bright artwork.

I'd be interested to see a swatch of Sea Salt in there - in my head, it doesn't look great with the sink color. But if you do decide to go with Sea Salt, I think maudefindlay's idea is good - Sea Salt and navy look nice together!
I just went on the parade of homes here, and the trendy thing seems to be a mix of neutrals with black, beiges, and creams. So you could paint the vanity black and do the walls in a light beige.
I doubt you are getting new hardware, but you could also leave vanity as-is, paint the walls a light beige-y color, and get a black faucet & lights. Or do the same but paint the vanity a pale beige-y color and do the walls in an ivory.
Our old house was built in 1985, and had a blue tiled bathroom. I painted the honey oak vanity navy blue to tide us over a bit until we eventually gutted it. I liked it in navy!
I also had two rooms that were Sea Salt in that house, and I am not sure whether I'd like it with bone/biscuit sink/tub fixtures. You'd have to try it. But one other option to go with the navy vanity might just be griege on the walls.
Our current primary bath is that white and hunter green 90s look, and needs a refresh, but in the meantime I painted the walls griege (SW Worldly Gray) and it's not exciting but I think it's the best option for the time being.
I kind of want to lean in to the off white of the bathroom as it is, but also try to modernize the space. So of course I spend way too much time yesterday putting together a vision board LOL
I'm going to go to the paint store this weekend and see about getting paint samples, but they haven't had then in stock for a while so I may need to order online. The Ripe Olive color that I'm thinking for the vanity isn't available in those peel and stick samples so I'd have to get an actual paint sample.
I'm hoping that I can do this project for under $1K. I'm getting ready to refinance my house and need to get an appraisal done so I'm hoping these updates will make my bathroom look less like it's stuck in 1993.

I feel like Sea Salt is too cool to mesh well with biscuit-colored fixtures. I would go with a warmer and darker color so that the fixtures look less off-white in comparison. Like, how cream wedding dresses look beautiful as long as someone wearing stark white doesn't stand next to you, and then they just look yellow.
