We are planning a kitchen remodel and need to finalize our cabinet decision ASAP. We are doing white cabinets. It looks like the Shaker style cabinets are the most popular right now, but I’m not sure I love them. I think I want something with just some subtle detail. If you have recently put in new cabinets, and did not do the Shaker style, do you i me and sharing a picture of them?
Also, which cabinet features did you get that you love? I want a pull out spice rack, but other than that I’m not sure what things to ask for
Not my whole kitchen, but we recently put in a small pantry with the shaker style cabinets. I did the inlay doors as opposed to the full overlay and I really like the way that it looks.
I haven't done my whole kitchen yet, but I do have a wishlist:
pop-up standmixer storage trash/recycle in cabinet fold out shelf for sponges/etc by sink divided drawer for flatware pull out shelves in lower cabinets (especially for a weird corner cabinet I'll need) deep drawers for pots and pans instead of shelves built in pull out step stool (I'm short and want my upper cabinets to go to the ceiling) pull out dog bowls
I do have white shaker style, and I can't remember seeing anything with more detail that I would think of as subtle (and I really like how easy the shaker style is to clean) so no suggestions there.
Most of my lowers are a mix of actual drawers including some deep ones that are great for tupperware, kids lunch containers/dishes, stuff like that, and regular cabinets with wide pull out drawers instead of shelves. And definitely a pull out trash/recycling cabinet.

I did white flat panel euro style cabinets. I love them. We didn’t do anything special other than a garbage pull out. Almost all lowers are drawers which I highly recommend.
I'm no help on style, because I like shaker, but on the pull-out spice rack -- just make sure it pulls out far enough to reach the stuff in the back. My dad has beautiful full inset natural cherry cabinets, but the spice rack is a real disappointment because it doesn't pull out far enough. It's such a pain to get at the back items.
No help on style - we have white shaker. When we did our kitchen our architect planned out each cabinet and drawer and what would go in them, which waa a great way to organize/lay out plus let us know the extras we would need. We have a few cabinets with the upright storage for cutting boards/trays/baking sheets etc - that was a must for us. Built in spice rack. Pull out shelving.
The one thing I don’t like that we have is the charging drawer. It has just turned into a general junk drawer and the power strip to it has had to be replaced twice. Not worth it.
I have kitchen cabinets with pretty/fancy detail work. I love the look, but they're a nightmare to keep clean. Dust, poofs of flour, spilled liquids, etc all get caught in the details. I don't love the look of Shaker cabinets, but I understand the appeal of them.

Thanks. Yes the ones I originally picked are similar to what you linked. But now we need the final decision. I’m leaning towards just doing the shaker style even though I don’t know that I love it? I’m going to go to a kitchen store and just look at some in person. I’m think I’m having trouble visualizing it from just a picture or sample.
This is why we put this remodel off for so long. I’m not good at decisions!

I have white shaker cabinets. I replaced cabinets that had a bit more detail but those were a severe pain in the ass to clean in the detailed area when I did a deep clean. These are much easier to wipe down.
I echo lots of drawers. I also have a slim cabinet that was put in as almost a spacw filler, but I actuallty love it because I store my cutting boards in there. Also love my ceramic farmhouse sink - so deep, I love it.

We finished our kitchen a few months ago. We went with a mix of white and dark gray shaker cabinets. I am loving our trash/recycling drawer, tilt out tray under the sink, and the combination of doors and drawers. I’m also liking that we have dividers in the cabinet above the fridge for our baking pans.
I think my absolute favorite is the toe kick drawer. I can store all of my baking pans, along with a couple other things that I only use for my baking business. It’s out of the way, but holds so much. I am wishing that I had put in another one.
This is similar to what we are doing. I hate keeping anything but entirely flat cabinet doors clean and I prefer this style anyway.
We just did shaker for reasons but if we ever reface or remodel I would do flat panel in part for the cleaning.
One thing that I prefer to a pullout spice cabinet is that I use a top drawer for my spices. I have an entire 24" drawer filled with my spices. They are laying down and I find that better than a pull out.
I also like a mix of doors and drawers cabinets but all door cabinets have roll outs. I prefer roll outs to drawers for pans.
Everything is soft close and we have 2 pull out trash cabinets. Depending on your needs, I like having a sheet pan cabinet.

Agree with soft close, although I kind of assumed that’s all that is done now? Here is a picture of my spice drawer. It’s just a regular top drawer but the jars fit in there perfectly standing up. I need to organize them better though!
My parents just moved into a new condo. I think the style they went with is this one, the Tudor. They have a darker island, with perimeter cabinets in white with gold/brass hardware and it looks great.
My mom didn't want the totally plain, stark Shaker b/c they have more traditional furniture. She wanted a little softer look. Also, the top molding style they chose is more curved and goes well with this. The cabinets look very plain and clean in person but they have just a little softness b/c of that curved edge in the inset area.
