What is Photo Pass and what is Memory Maker? I'm heading to WDW in about 2 weeks and looking into the photo service, and now I'm confused. Is PhotoPass just what they call the Disney photogs that take pictures for you around the park, and MemoryMaker is the service that puts them all in one place in the app on your phone?
Also, is the photo service worth it for the whole trip? It looks like $169 if I buy it now. DH seems to think that even at $200 it would be worth it, and I think I agree, but figured it didn't hurt to check with folks with some experience.
If it matters, this is our first (and likely only) trip to WDW with our kids (DH and I both haven't been since we were teenagers either).

We thought the Memory Maker was totally worth it! We were there a week and have so many pictures that it was an excellent value. It was so easy to have a magic band scanned and get pictures constantly and the ones on rides automatically too.
So often, it is hard to get entire family photos on vacation. With this, everyone can be included in the photo. These photographers know what they are doing. It also includes ride photographs, which are SO fun! Get it!
Thanks everyone! I thought it seemed to make sense, but so many things at WDW cost so much money, it's hard to navigate what is "worth it" and what isn't. This seems to be one of the things that is totally worth it, especially for the ability to have whole family photos, instead of just the kids or one parent with the kids. LOL.
Not sure of your kids ages but there is a photo studio in MK (and one at Disney Springs) where you can get some fun photos of your kids. The one at MK is called Sir Mickey's and it's right by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at the castle. The pics are included with Memory Maker. The last time we went, DD did BBB (she was 6) so I have some great pics of her all dressed up but I think we might pop in and do it this time for some good pics of us not outside. They have some fun props! My DD takes a bit to warm up to people and they rotate through the photographers so ours actually hung out with us in line, being silly, while we waited so DD was really comfortable when it was her turn.

Thanks for this info! Sounds like a great opportunity for some "free" family portraits!

I had the same reservations, but after reading folks reviews and everything, and knowing I wanted our whole family included in pictures, we decided to go for it.
