Hurricane Ian

Hoo boy, I am trying not to overthink this one, but I am not sure what to expect. I know no one can predict the future, so I won’t try. But I am so bummed that this is happening now. I am hoping that this will pass and we can safely fly in and have our vacation instead of having to back out at the last minute. We are so close! 😫

We are scheduled to fly down Friday night - feeling the same way. Not sure how this will play out.

Several years ago we were schedule to leave for Disney within a week and I was concerned about a hurricane being there when we were. I called and they allowed me to change my reservation with no charges or fees and were super nice about it. So if you have the ability to change, know they face this all the time and understand.

We ended up cancelling. I can't lie, I'm super heartbroken. I'm at work so I'm trying not to cry.

There was no room to move our reservations. We tried to move things a day, and Disney was able to do it, but that would have been so hectic with flights and no rest time in between Disney and Universal, and Universal wasn't willing to move us either since it was after the storm was supposed to be gone anyway. Then we tried moving Disney to after Universal and fly out Monday, but there was nothing for Disney. So we have decided to cancel.

Looks like Disney has closed the parks for Wed and Thu.
