National Parks Passes for Military

Just thought I would pass this along. Starting tomorrow, free annual passes for access to National Parks will be given to service members and their families.

I saw this on TB the other day and shared it with DH. He's super excited for it, but he can't really do anything with the boot on. Maybe next year.

Oh, it's worth mentioning that the pass doesn't cover camping or parking costs, just general admission. Still an awesome deal, but something to keep in mind.

They need to remove the part where it says free for active duty when below it clearly states that Reserves and NG are included. They are current military but not active duty.

Sadly, we bought a pass about a month before the announcement on this.

But, at least we can get next year's for free. I think it's pretty spiffy that it is being offered, although I'll admit the passes are actually quite reasonable for what you get.

I agree. The annual pass for the park near me is only $20, which is so worth it. I think it is such a kind gesture though.
