I need....something. Lol. I don't know if I should get an ipad or a laptop.
I'll pretty much just use it to surf the net and hold my itunes. I have 30GB on my ipod, so I think if I got the ipad, I'd need the 64GB? And I need a data plan for an ipad? That makes me lean towards laptop. Also, I think I might want the bigger screen on the laptop? But, I could use the ipad as an e-reader, right?
Yes, you can use the iPad as an e-reader after downloading the free kindle app.
Do you already have a laptop and would the new one just be replacing the old one?
I've got an iPad with no data plan. Decided against it since I didn't want to pay the price. As long as you are in an area that has wifi you are good to go. If you've already downloaded the apps and books you won't need internet access. Internet access is needed for surfing the net unless you are in a wifi area.
You don't have to have a data plan for the iPad, but if you get one that isn't 3G capable you won't ever be able to get the data plan for it. It will operate off of your standard WiFi in home as well as at places like Starbucks, Panera, etc. This is the same as with the laptop, you will need an active WiFi connection to surf the internet.
If you will never or rarely use the device for preparing documents, typing, etc. I would lean towards the iPad because it is more portable and has more uses (ereader, etc.) You can get word processing apps for the iPad which will let you do what you need to as well as a bluetooth connected keyboard to make typing easier.
I use my iPad for web surfing, books, and occasional streaming of tv shows and movies. I also have a pdf reader to store all of my crochet patterns so that I don't have to print them.
hey - i was just looking at my FB ticker. is that the dude you went out with on the weekend? the one where you had a really long date? how did it go? he seems into you (yes i am basing this off of one status update, lol).
Lol, yes, that's him. We went to the O's double header yesterday, and met up for drinks before that. We had so much fun- I was laughing and smiling so much my face hurt. He's really into me. The feeling's mutual. I'm all googly-eyed over here.
