Thanks for this. I was REALLY into this when it was all going down. I did buy in, not stupidly at the $400 level, but around $100 on the way back down. Did make a couple hundred.
But I loved reading the Reddit page and all the back posts by the guy who started it all. Fascinating!

We started watching this and I cannot explain my secondhand embarrassment over these people explaining Reddit and seeing those Wall Street bets memes on my television š
Agreed it was super well done and explained it all well. I commented while watching it that it will probably be shown in accounting/finance/business classes (similar to Enron documentary when I was in grad school).
Crazy story: Iām friends with the wife of one of the main people in this saga on the GS side. They had to hire private security, they had death threats (even their college aged child had to come home). The wife is still shaken up by it now and scared to be out in public because the Reddit people were so scary.
A guy in Oregon just went to federal prison for the threats he was making against the children of one of their top employees.
At the time, I remember hearing something weird was happening with the GameStop stock and I should buy it. Which only made me think, if I heard about this, then itās too late to buy it.
I clearly donāt pay enough attention to the shows I watch. The whole thing played on the TV while I was sitting on the couch. And I donāt really feel like I understand it better. š But I will trust you all that if I was actually paying 80% more attention, I would understand it.
