Just booked Nashville for the end of December. We will be there Tuesday-Sat. Bringing out 13 year old. Staying at the W and going to the Titans/Cowboys game. No other plans yet. Looking for recs close to the area (not sure if we are getting a car yet) especially weekday brunch or holiday only time stuff that might not come up in regular travel searches.
I probably like a bit of a curmudgeon, but I prefer places off Broadway. Two concert venues we like are 3rd and Lindsley and The Bluebird Cafe.
I am not a country music fan, but I was surprised how much I enjoyed the Country Music Hall of Fame. We were there for 2 hrs and could have stayed much longer.
We went recently and had great meals at Superica (Mexican) and Biscuit Love (brunch). Saw a concert at the Ryman which was a really cool venue. We did the Grand Ole Opry tour as well and walked around the Opryland hotel for an AC break (it was august). Broadway at night on the weekend was a bit much for me, ha! We did a trolley tour of breweries that was fun too (kids were welcome but may not be exciting for your kid!). We had a car but stayed outside downtown so we did a mix of Ubering and driving in.
