Is Disneyland going to be insane? 100th anniversary related

We are planning to go to Disneyland February 1-3. My planner just informed me that Disney announced the 100 yr celebration will begin on the 27th of Jan. Will the crowds make me want to kill myself? Or will it be less insane than the opening days of DW during the 50th anniversary.

Should I say F it and go to Grand Cayman instead? (Only somewhat joking)

I don't think it will be horrible. They had a big celebration for the 60th several years back and yes, on the official first day it was huge, but this is a year long celebration I believe, just like WDW's 50th.

Oh that is good to hear! I am guessing it will be busy that day (and the weekend immediately after) but will hopefully die down. Especially since I don't think the new fireworks show will run during the week.

I don’t think it’s going to be horrible.

Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway is slated to open in January (exact date TBD) so that’s going to bring in some crowds.

Oooh, I see. They are opening the one ride early but not all of toon town.

And this MMRR is different! It has more scenes than the one at Hollywood Studios.

We’re going to DL the week of President’s Day. I hope it’s not too crazy. I’m looking forward to MMRR. I loved it at WDW.
