Stair lights

I’m over the moon excited about this little upgrade. This stairwell has zero light, although the foyer light did allow it to meet code (which is really low for stairs). I have issues with stairs due to some neuropathy in my feet, so I wanted them well lit. As a bonus, they are on a motion sensor! You step onto the stairs, they turn on. 

The treads are temporary, until we refinish the stairs and do a real runner. The dog and I love them.

Those look great!

My stairs are very dark. Some previous owner of the house installed a motion sensing exterior light on them. It does the trick but it looks ridiculous.

Thanks, deadwing. Exterior lighting is… interesting. But yeah, it would work.

Wired. Handy to have an electrician on retainer (my husband, this is our running joke)

Those are fantastic! They are very reminiscent of outdoor stair lights that I added throughout the outdoor gardens of a local retirement residential complex. Perfect solution!

The ones I bought are indoor/outdoor, probably mostly outdoors. I got a 6 pack, so the other 2 May end up outside. Or, they will end up in the box of random excess lighting we have (most of which was pulled out of something and replaced when H was working. Saved from the trash)
