October crafting

This board has been slow but I was wondering if anyone else has been more productive now that the summer is gone. I’ve been working on Halloween costumes, sweaters as gifts for Christmas, and I have made up backs and sent out two quilts for longarm quilting since I have given up on doing it myself.

I also made a skin to skin top for my SIL and baby hats to match for my niece:

And lastly I’ve made at least ten Barbie outfits for DD’s friends for their birthdays. Turns out leggings are super quick and super fun.

I made this Oliver + S red riding hood cape for my niece. And I’ve been making ornaments already. I can’t wait to see the cape on my niece.

I'm trying to do better about taking pics of my makes! Seems like, when I sew clothes, I just put it in the closet and forget to take any photos!

I've been alternating between HTV on shirts, sewing clothes, ITH embroidery, and most recently glitter+HTV ornaments.

Two friends and I have a sewing weekend kicking off this evening so I should have some new finishes.
I am so close to finishing this quilt for a teacher who had her baby a month ago, just need to sew the label on, it didn’t attach quite right in the binding. This pic is just the quilt top around a month ago.

It was a very fast make. Definitely a satisfying sew.

Another something today, in between working on PJs for the kids. After traveling as a family this past weekend, I decided that each kid needs their own “charging bag” that contains cables and power bricks enough for every device they travel with. This way I won’t have to unplug our regular cords, and we don’t have to shift and share in hotel rooms or VRBOs.

Here’s the bag I made for DD12. I have fabric cut for the bags for DS8 and for me, too. DH is in his own!!

Had a relatively productive weekend seeing with some friends. I am not improving or liking binding quilts any, I redid both of the small pieces before finishing. Then I had some bleeding issues with the quilt, so it was washed like 5 times.

Please don’t quote.
