Yes. She was being led by the nose by the ERG, which is a right wing think tank (libertarian) who have basically tried to run the gov't and were instrumental in helping get Brexit votes. The 80k votes were from Tory members, who don't even have to live here or be citizens - they just have to pay a fee. And it was from a group of pond scum candidates (imagine having some of your worst Republicans, including the stupid ones, being selected as candidates for an internal 'election'). Unfortunately, there's not much hope that they will call for a General Election, so we'll get more pond scum for the next two years and a few months. UGH.
Isn't it a minority government, though? In theory, if the pond scum is sublimely awful, that could cause a coalition to fall apart, correct?
Looking like Rishi Sunak is #1 at this moment with Boris Johnson at #2 (blech). There's a STONG push out there for BJ, which would probably end up in a revolt of some sort (or at least I hope it would).
