Our grocery store is participating in a pilot of LOOP. It looks like LOOP partners with major brands and puts them into reusable packing. You can return the packing to the store. It looks pretty cool, but I haven't seen it in store yet so not sure how many of the items I will use on a regular basis. But it does look like they work with cleaning products and nutella so that alone might be worth it lol.

I've been waiting for years for this to come to my area. I hope they can scale up quickly, because I wonder if transporting/cleaning/refilling/and then transporting the items again causes more environmental impact than they are saving. I know eventually they want to be able to process refilling in stores (or at least locally) but that takes a lot of infrastructure.
Some of the local health food stores here have some limited items available for in-store refills (they have dish washing liquid, laundry soap, etc). The pandemic killed all the bulk food sections at my grocery stores, which I understand. But I miss them every time I have to buy a can of oats vs just filling my own bag.

Yeah I am interested to see how it works. Last time I was there they had a big box/machine where you could return items, but none of the items were at the store yet. I hope there are a lot of products I can use. It doesn't look like it does any meat products, but I am not sure.
