Another basement remodel (after)

I don’t have much before. Just the one with the bike and carpet. But, it was three rooms, two of them paneled. Carpet everywhere. Musty/moldy, old water damage, non-active mouse infestation in the walls. Stinky. Yucky. 

after is two rooms. One with cabinets and a huge open area. This will be a workshop type area. The other section just has my exercise area right now. 

long term is to add an egress window where the exercise mirror is. So it’ll be a legal bedroom again. And down the line, the cabinets give us a kitchen. If we can squeeze in a second bedroom, the rental value today is almost our current mortgage. My basement dweller neighbor came over tonight to consult. He says we need to add washer/dryer in the bathroom (not shown). There is an exterior door to the left of the kitchen.

Looks great! Good to get rid of the carpet and update everything. An extra window to brighten it up more will be good too.

Thanks! Such a positive place here 😁 it’s not much at all, but smells so much better. And my allergy prone H is no longer allergic to the house. Woo!
