Finished The Date from Hell and Leech, both had disappointing endings that knocked them down a star in my opinion.
Currently reading Once More Upon a Time which is a delightful and silly fairy tale about a King and Queen who have lost their love for each other and are on a quest to retrieve a potion for a witch with the help of a cloak that thinks it's a horse. Listening to Honey and Spice, a rom-com enemies to lovers book I picked up because I loved Bolu Babalola's other book.
QOTW: In what ways do you consider yourself to be creative?[/quote]
I went to school for theater and think I would have been a phenomenal director, so I have a creative... eye? Thought process?
I finished Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver (excellent) and just started The World We Make by N.K. Jemisin — it’s the second in a duology and I haven’t quite remembered/settled in to its world , but it’s definitely interesting so far.
QOTW: I think I’m a creative thinker — I like figuring out new approaches and fiddling with details to make things better or more interesting.
Still working on Take My Hand. Hopefully this weekend I can finish it!
QOTW: I crochet, but really I just follow patterns, not making stuff up on my own. But I enjoy it! I also love photography although I wouldn't say I'm that good!
I just started Upgrade by Blake Crouch this week and started the audio book of The Last House on the Street by Diane Chamberlain.
I’m in a design field as a profession but was probably the most practical of my whole class, and usually my companies. So I have some creativity in that regard. I’ve always done various crafts, photography, drawing, watercolor, crossstitch and quilting, to name a few. I feel like I’ve got an eye for color, which comes into play in my job and my crafts.
I read Carrie Soto is Back by Taylor Jenkins Reid. It was light and engrossing enough that I got through it fairly fast, even with pretty limited time to read. The main character wasn’t super lovable and I felt a little beat over the head (with a tennis racket 😉) with some of the themes, but I liked it well enough.
I don’t think of myself as traditionally creative much at all, but I feel like I really hum when I can connect people and make something better as a group. I don’t know if that counts for anything haha.
I'm reading The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid and I only found out it was based on a novel a few years ago. It's better than I expected and so far the plot seems pretty similar to the movie. Or at least as far as I can remember, I haven't seen it in ages.
QOTW: I don't consider myself particularly creative. Unless you count coming up with justifications for things!
