40.
I rarely check personal email because Gmail is blocked at work.
I check work email a lot but get hundreds of emails a day and only deal with the most urgent so I lose stuff there as well. If I don't have time to deal with it right away it gets lost forever.

What would really get me when I was a HS teacher was when a student would send me an email with a question via school email, so I'd respond. Then the next day in class they'd go, "hey did you ever get my email?" I'd say, "Yes, and I responded to it yesterday." "Oh."

Throughout the day. The tab is always open on the browser that is always open. LOL. It's also on my phone.
My students never check their email and it boggles my mind. I'm trying to train them, and "it was in your email and you're expected to know" is a near constant refrain.
Edit: I am also an "inbox 0" person. I cannot stand that little red number. Gives me anxiety.
This is me.
@@ It infuriates me that my students don’t check their email. A frequent conversation: Student: did you get my email? Me: yes, I responded 10 minutes later. Did you read my response? Student: no, I only logged on to email you. What did your email say?
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
After reading these responses, I think this is a problem of the inexperienced ways of the youths in general.
I was in grad school from 2000 - 2004. The average age of students was 22 - 26. Emails were a thing at this point and everyone owned a laptop. Text message had not taken off yet. But even back then we had this problem of no one checking their emails and then people would wonder why they didn't hear about xyz thing. They basically expected morning announcements to be spoon fed everything like we were still in high school/middle school. Otherwise every friend group usually had that one responsible friend that would keep them informed of stuff from emails.
"Why would you ruin perfectly good peanuts by adding candy corn? That's like saying hey, I have these awesome nachos, guess I better add some dryer lint." - Nonny
I have two personal accounts. One is mostly for junk so I check that a few times a week. The other I check multiple times a day. I’d have to do the math but I think I’m 41.

It really depends. I could go days without sometimes, and other times it's an open tab all day. At this point I probably average once every 2-3 days, more if I'm expecting something important, like my book is available from my e-library.
Currently, I'm in a world where most communication is done through whatsapp and increasingly wechat. Last time I planned a party and invited it was all through whatsapp.
