Background. My brother through a Surprise Birthday Party for his wife on Saturday. He sent the invitations out via email, like Evite or something like that. Apparently some of the younger members of my family (20-somethings) either never saw the invite or saw it really late because they don't ever check their email. I check my email multiple times a day and they told me that's because I'm old, I'm in my 40's ftr

So, how often do you check your personal email?
Very rarely, the most important things go to my work email and my personal is jsut what I usually give at stores so I only check it if I'm going shopping. I'm 49 so I don't think it's an age thing LOL
20-somethings don’t check their email regularly. I work with college students and most say it’s completely overwhelming to sift through it all. They largely text instead.
Like every 5 minutes. Or maybe longer but lots of times a day. I'm self employed so my personal email is also my important work stuff email. I have 2 more email addresses for less important personal stuff (like online shopping or spammy newsletters) and less important work stuff (this one goes to a staff member who filters it).
I am older than you and very rarely. All of my personal communication comes via text and group texts. Once in a while someone will text me to check my email because they sent me something I should see - it usually has an attachment.
When I take an interest in my personal email, it’s usually to unsubscribe from loads of stores and sites.
I had a similar problem when I tried to invite a bunch of people to DS's birthday party using FB invite. Apparently not everyone is as prolific a FB-er as I am, lol.
Maybe my 14 year old is an old soul, but he checks his email at least daily. He is in a couple different organizations that communicate through email. I will say that he is tasked with emailing kids in one group every week, and he rarely gets responses from more than 1 or 2 kids.
I check my email compulsively throughout the day so am probably not the best go-by.

I am 47, and multiple times per day. I do not like non work things going to my work email. It’s theirs to see forever should anything ever come up.
Plus, the kiddos school and other personal things just need to go to my personal. My H uses his work email primarily, and he is 55. When he had to do things for his dad’s estate, he used his personal, and still didn’t check that but every 3 days or so! I had to remind him to check! Lol
Constantly throughout the day (I'm old and in my 40's).
My brother (who, FTR is also in his 40's) is an example of someone who hardly ever checks his personal email. Like my mom will email him, and then when he doesn't respond, she'll email me to ask me if I can text him to tell him to check his email.

I check my personal email all the time, even though I don't get a lot of important emails. I don't have personal email sent to work. I work with college kids and they don't check emails at all. I don't get it because they are always on their phones, don't they get a notification when the email comes in? I'm 44 for reference.

I don't use my work email for anything personal.
I have two personal emails - one I use for legit emailing and one that I give for online shopping, etc. So the second one mostly receives junk mail. The first I check numerous times a day. The second one I check once a day or so depending on what I'm expecting (like today I'm waiting to see if I was selected for the Taylor Swift presale )
bare minimum once a day so I can just delete them and make sure I do not have a thousand emails to go through and delete all at once. It feels easier to do 10-30 at a time lol.
Daily but I get so much junk in it that personal emails sometimes fall through the cracks in there. I have kind of an intense job too, so keeping up with my personal email can be a challenge. For anything really important that I can't miss, I use my work address.
ETA: I had 101,000 unread emails in my gmail account as of last week. After a few hours of bulk deleting, I've got it down to 617. So yeah, things tend to get lost in there.
