I'm not enjoying gift-buying for this "I think I'm done with toys" age at all! So far my ideas are Pokemon cards and maybe a small card game? (I personally liked Monopoly Deal). Maybe an ornament for the tree of something they like too?
My 9 year old totally still likes toys. —AG/OG doll items —jewelry —scrunches/hair accessories —funny socks —books —art supplies —anything Squishmallow —clip in hair color strips (Amazon) —Crazy Aaron’s putty —small Lego sets —those dumb mini brands things —little puzzle game fidget type items —bookmarks —card games (Sushi Go is a favorite) —backpack clips

Our Santa growing up cared very much about our personal hygiene, so we would always get new deodorant, tooth brush, face wash, body wash, razors, shaving cream, etc.
My DD is 9 and we got her some Pokémon little Lego things for her stocking, Switch games are delightfully stocking-sized, a new loofah, card game, socks, and candy, of course.
My 9yo is getting: -hand held water kinda arcade game? Hard to explain but I was a chaperone on a long field trip & the kids were loving them. -chocolate -gummies -stroopwaffel -quirky tee from smorg tees -book (joke book) -water bottle (if it fits but he needs a bigger one for hikes & travel) -taco cat card game

I'll probably do gift cards -- the local coffee shop (DS walks there in the summer with his friends to get milkshakes), a local bookstore that just opened, etc.
I usually do fuzzy soft socks (my kids love these, I usually get them at GAP or Old Navy), candy, a small game or toy, a shirt or underwear, and then a gaming gift card like Robux. Wallets were a hit one year. Sometimes I do books. This year I will probably add a book light and scarf for my older kids.
Barefoot Dreams socks (she has loved the ON $2.50 ones, but her feet are too big for the kids version and at this point I want the quality for her) Beauty blenders Makeup brush cleaning mitt and cleansing solution (she plays with makeup at home and her brushes get gross) Roblox gift cards Hydroflask and straw lid Bath bombs Some spray hand sanitizer Perfume samples (she loooooves perfume lol)

The year DD was 9 I did mostly things like socks, chapstick, body wash, plus candy. Because that's what I remembered getting when I got older.
She was SO confused LOL. She was definitely expecting fun things in the stocking and it did not deliver. Her reaction was pretty funny.
Anyway. Don't recommend that. The next year I included things like an unusual Japanese soda that she'd tried once and liked, fun pens and a cute notepad, decorative keychain to put on her bookbag, a card game, a flashlight. I think I still gave socks but made sure they were "fun" socks.
DD is 9 and so far she’s getting: - Panda Express gift card (her fave) - cat pen that meows and lights up (she loves cats) - M&M filled candy cane tube (Santa brings each year) - Yeti with her name and a cat engraved on it - shower bombs from Lush - V Bucks gift card -Under Armour socks (her fave) - game for Nintendo Switch
DS is 11 and so far he is getting: - V Bucks gift card -Yeti with his name and logo of his fave sports team engraved on it - Under Armour underwear (his fave) - M&M filled candy cane tube - Jersey Mike’s gift card - football cards - game for his video game system
