We are going on day 4 of DS being home with some bug, sick enough to not send him to daycare but not sick enough to be napping on the couch and staying out of my way. He is wandering around everywhere. I am very much a "let your body fight it off" person but my mom has of course planted the seed that I am a bad mom because it's Thursday and I haven't taken him to the doctor.
You aren't a bad mom! I'm very much the same as you about my kid and myself. I'm on day 5 of something like your DS has and I came into the office today though I don't feel great. My coworker was peppering me with questions including are you going to see a doctor? I said no, I have no one symptom that's concerning like a severe sore throat, ear ache or anything that feels like bronchitis or sinusitis. So why bother anyone? I'm not trying to be tough about it, but it's just a bunch of Covid-negative cold symptoms and fatigue that are leaving me feeling overall crappy.
I broke down and called the pediatrician. Today his cough sounds a little different and he puked a little one time as well. I think his throat is bothering him.
But let me be the one to decide, I'm his mom! Like unless it's gross negligence, I seriously don't understand why grandparents don't stay in their lane.
I'm so sorry. Where are you located if you don't mind telling me and what do you do? I work for the federal government and we are hiring left and right, I could help you with writing a federal resume and walking you through the application process.
Hey. Thanks. I’m in the Philadelphia area. Most of my background is in workers comp insurance and my most recent position was as a Product Owner. Not sure how well that would translate.
I'm in Philly, I work at the shipyard and we have an office at the base in the northeast! I live in South Jersey but I work in the office 3 days a week. PM me and we can figure something out.
My dogs are short haired and not built for the cold weather. They also don’t understand how weather works. They want to go outside and play so I let them out. They realize it’s cold and want to immediately back inside. While inside they forget it’s cold, want to go back out 2 minutes later and then act personally offended when it’s still cold. Repeat all day long.
My last dog didn't like the rain. She would go out the back door and see that it was raining, come back in, and try to go out the front door instead. Like she was expecting the weather would be different

Too cute! I have one that absolutely hates the rain and will hold his bladder for 30 hours before going outside in the rain. Pretty typical for dogs except that his favorite activity (in the summer) is playing in the sprinkler… it’s just artificial rain!
I have an employee with a service animal. Her animal passed and she has a new one. Neither are "traditionally" trained service animals. These are pets she paid someone to give her a cert and no, there's nothing I can do. And yes, she told me all of this.
The new dog is here today and just fucking growled at our boss as she walked by. Like in the hallway.
This is going to be a shitshow. My boss is documenting because we cannot have an aggressive animal on site.
Anyone have a Ring camera that doesn't need to be wired? Or are the wired ones really, really easy? I think my parents would like one but no one in our family is handy lol
I have one that is not wired. It is very easy to install and set up. I charge the battery when I am home, but you can always buy a backup battery and keep it charged.
I am on day 9 of Covid and still feel like ass. I have been sleeping 12 plus hours a night, isolating from my family, I am so over it. I got a prescription for some cough medicine that seems like it is sort of working 🤷🏼♀️. I just googled RSV and I kind of wonder if I have that also. Ugh.

Our Ring doorbell isn’t wired. I only have to bring it in to charge every couple of months maybe? It’s not an issue for me.
