Sparknotes: self-admitted sexual harasser Matt Taibbi wrote a 40-Tweet manifesto saying that Twitter was helping Dems by not allowing Hunter Biden’s dick pics to be published non-consensually. 🥴
writer Matt Taibbi published a Twitter thread detailing the platform's decision to limit access to a New York Post article about the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop – some of which violated Twitter's revenge porn policy.
Taibbi shared a screenshot of five deleted tweets, four of which had archives available online that depicted nude photos and videos of the president's son. The contents of Hunter Biden's laptop had been leaked after he allegedly left his device at a Delaware repair shop.
The posts show ongoing debates inside Twitter over whether the decision to block the Post story was the right call.
One of my favorite parts of this was that he mentioned Twitter also complied with requests from 45's people, but never expanded on what those requests were.
This whole thing is ridiculous. They want people to think they're showing how the government is censoring free speech and how this helped Biden win. But, Biden was not in any sort of office at the time, Twitter is a company that can decide what they want to comply with, and the things they took down were NOT what they expected them to be (or maybe thought they were, I don't know). They really went all in making it seem like this was something huge, but surprise surprise, it wasn't. Yet again.
