Looking like another week. Funding til Dec 23. Been doing this so long, I just roll my eyes and laugh.
That said, we actually did hear sometime today. Which was “going through the motions of prepping, but not expecting.” Which, they didn’t even tell us in September. Not sure what to read into this.
Interesting because we hear nothing at work. I get annoyed that it’s like “let’s push it out a week because we haven’t bothered to do anything since we pushed it out last time. “ 🤦♀️ And because putting the deadline so close to the holiday makes all my co-workers feel great!
But, I think you are using COLA as a generic term. We don’t get a COLA, we get an annual adjustment to the pay scales based on the whims of congress, that is only as connected to inflation as politics let it be. And, you know, there is a law with a formula for what it’s supposed to be, based on regional prevailing wages for similar positions, but has never once been followed. www.fedsmith.com/2022/12/01/how-federal-employee-pay-raises-determined/
rubytue I didn’t realize all of that. Thanks for the background!
I agree, thanks for the info. Though just this weekend I was thinking that as minimum wage in my area keeps increasing due to staggering increases set in law a few years ago, my locality pay is not keeping up. 😳

We haven’t heard anything at work either, this has been going on for so many years I feel like it’s the boy who cried wolf. If it actually ever happens I’ll be stunned.
