Our neighbors recently sold their house. When I said congrats (it sold in a day), my neighor said something to the tune of "thanks. We're excited to move on from a starter neighborhood, you know?"
I smiled, but WTF. Who says that?
They're moving today in -6 degree weather and I'm chuckling a little in my cozy warm house.

I am having A Day today, and the icing on the cake was accidentally locking myself out of the house this morning in the middle of this tempest. But Fedex just delivered wine and fancy chocolates for me that are just signed "Secret Santa" so maybe my day is taking a turn.

This a stupid gripe but I'm still salty about it.
Yesterday DH snow blowed out our driveway in the morning but I was shovelling out the end of our driveway after the plow came by in -20 degree temps and my neighbor (who is generally great) decided that was the appropriate time to ask that we not shovel snow too close to her house (nowhere near the end of my driveway) because last spring the snow melting caused some leaking in their basement.
Sure, ok, that's fine, but the time to tell me that is not when I'm trying to dig out the end of the driveway as fast as I can before losing a digit to frostbite, lady. This was not a "now" problem.
I unfriended a relative due to his string of anti-lgbtq+ posts on FB. Nothing new there.
He then persisted with private messaging me to hammer home his misinformation/ludicrous posts. In particular he is up in arms about the Trevor Project, including his horrification that it might interfere with a parent's right to parent their own child. He included bible verses about honoring thy father and mother...
After a multi-post tirade about the Trevor Project, I told him I had enough. I told him I had already asked him to stop multiple times, unfriended him, and he still wouldn't quit. So, for every additional comment he makes that is anti-LGBTQ+ or against the Trevor Project, I will donate $10 to The Trevor Project. Since he had already made 3 comments that morning, it was $30. I donated the $30 *in his name* and sent him the receipt. It has been a week with no further comment.
