On comassvax.org you can search by vaccine type and you're looking for MOD Omicron Bivalent 6m-5yrs, which is the last one. We just went through this for my DD, although ended up doing a walk in at our county health dept instead rather than doing the mobile bus this time. (We did the bus once and it was fine, but in an office is more comfortable.)
Thanks! For his initial shots we did the bus (and had to drive to Greeley from FoCo to do it).
The Rona finally got me. I tested positive last week. My voice was kind of raspy but no sore throat, then I woke up with a mild headache, took my temp it was 100.2, so I tested and it was positive. The only place I had gone the previous week was to physical therapy and we did have 3 people over for Christmas dinner who tested negative before coming (which I know isn’t a guarantee). So I either got it one of those times (no one from Christmas has shown any symptoms).
This is my first illness since 2018, so I guess it was about time! My symptoms have been very mild, runny nose the first few days and now just a very occasional cough every few hours. Otherwise I feel fine. I really think lack of sleep shot my immune system over the past 8 weeks!
When I tested positive I immediately started wearing a n95 mask and haven’t taken it off since then. We’ve been keeping windows open sporadically and have air purifier going. I’ve been eating in the bedroom. It would be easier if we were not in a 1 bedroom apartment but doing the best we can and so far it seems to be helping. I figure the less viral load spreading around the better. I’m still breastfeeding like usual; so she’s getting those antibodies!
So far 7 days of tests and my partner is negative. He was wearing a mask too just in case, but has now stopped at day 7. The baby is acting like her usual self, but no clue if she is positive. The pediatrician said could bring her in for pcr if she displays any symptoms, but so far she hasn’t, so I’m happy about that, although I’m guessing she might have gotten covid. I’ve given up on worrying since that wont change anything. My mom was also with us last week (staying at another place but coming here all afternoon till late at night) and she hasn’t tested positive either.
I tested yesterday and I’m still positive so I’m going to keep masking until day 10 I guess to be on the safe side. The bright side is I told my friends the next couple of weeks I’m going to go on a freedom tour and eat inside of a restaurant and go to my favorite speak easy!
Otherwise after that will go back to taking precautions. My friends baby has 2nd case of covid in 4 months. I know this is seeming to be our new normal, but will still remain cautious and vigilant while the baby is still young especially.
So sorry it finally got you! Our household also got it for the first time last month, also with relatively mild symptoms. I know several other people who also got it for the first time in the last month or so, seems like the current variant is really spreading. Glad to hear that you have been able to prevent it from spreading in your household. Our exposure was via daycare, so we all got it (babies are bad at covering their cough lol). Hope you test negative soon. It took us ~9 days to test negative ... still positive on day 7, though did not test on day 8. We stayed at home through day 10 just in case. I also breastfed through it, and the baby had the mildest symptoms, so I like to think that the extra antibodies helped (although I know babies tend to have milder symptoms anyway)!
I'm not sure how old your baby is, but we have used at home covid tests on our son since he was about 6 months, in case you'd prefer that to taking her in to the pediatrician for a test. While they technically say that they're for 2+, they have been reliable for us ... lots of negatives in the last several months when he's had a cough/runny nose, then positive when he had a known exposure and symptoms. We really only test him when needed, so in your shoes, I probably wouldn't bother if she isn't symptomatic!
My kid woke up puking. I immediately masked up, but I bet noro gets us all.
I’m so sorry.
4 days of daycare this week and J woke up with his nose glued shut and now it’s running like a faucet. So far covid negative but on behalf of toddler parents everywhere this sucks. I am so sick all our kids being constantly sick. I’m so sick of worrying about what will happen if he is excluded from daycare and which of us will miss work again and whether I’m going to be judged for not being shiny bright and new in the new year as things take off at breakneck speed.
After my disaster of trying get kid boosters at Thanksgiving break (two places let us make appointments and then turned us away due to “not having kids vaccines” and “the district manager says no”), we finally had success over Christmas break at Publix.
I made the appointments and promised the kids a pack of Pokémon cards for showing up. They got two more packs if they actually got the shots. Publix came through and we have tons of Pokémon cards for trading now. Plus, a free cookie and the wonder of the grocery store (which they hadn’t been in since 2020 and used to be a favorite trip).
I am so excited/relieved. They had sore arms and slept horribly, but 24 hours later are fine.

Thanks rhian. She’s only 8 weeks old and no symptoms so we decided not to test cause I feel like the swabs we have are as big as her nostril!
It’s day 9 and my partner is still negative. I guess I’ll test tomorrow but take off my mask regardless. My symptoms are virtually gone and I think the chances of contagious viral levels are low even if my test is positive, especially since I’m vaccinated x 4 (or 5?? I can’t remember how many vaccines we’ve had at this point!)

Okay, maybe not really COVID related since he is testing negative for this cold and the one be has a couple weeks ago right after he last had COVID, but DH has another fucking man-cold and is holed up in the guest bedroom again. It sure feels like he spends more time there than with the family these last 5 months. We're also TTC (something he's been wanting for years and I have finally come around to more recently) and I don't know if he realizes it or not, but he's been holed up there 4 of the last 5 times I've supposedly been fertile. This time with the fucking sniffles. I'm 40 years old, so it's not exactly like we have all the time in the world here. Although at this point he is definitely making me rethink having another baby with him anyway, since I'm not sure if he's going to be capable of helping parent said baby.
Or maybe this is COVID related and he's sick all the time now because he has long COVID now. Except he'll be better for a few days or maybe a week, and then be sick again. Maybe long COVID goes like that for some people? (He's had COVID 4 times since August, although we know where he got it the first 2 of those times, but the others could be relapses for all we know...)
wanderingback, oh wow, I didn't realize she was so young! Congrats! And props to you for nursing a baby that young while sick!
I definitely felt weird being around people again after having covid, even though it was beyond 10 days, my symptoms were nearly gone, and I was testing negative. Even though I rationally knew that I was quite unlikely to be contagious, I was worried about that tiny chance and didn't want to get anyone sick. It got easier over time, though!
It appears daycare just sent home a perfectly well kid. They called and said he had a fever. I get him home, test him with 2 different thermometers and he's normal. He's not acting sick. I'm fairly certain he just overheated in his sweatshirt. I'm about to break into a million pieces...

Sickness finally got our house, but not Covid yet.
The 8 year old was lethargic and head a headache Monday so I kept him home. Seemed ok Tuesday so I sent him to school. Picked him up Tuesday and he was complaining of a sore throat. Went to urgent care. Strep test was negative. Got a fever in the night so I kept him home yesterday. He threw up in the background during two of my Zoom meetings. Fever all day yesterday. Woke up this morning with no fever but congested. Kept him home. We’ve done three Covid tests. All negative. He hasn’t had a fever all day and has much more energy, so as long as the fever doesn’t come back, he’s going to school tomorrow.
My teen has finals next week. I told him to stay away from his brother. The last things he needs is to miss finals.

This happened with L quite a bit when she was younger. It drove me absolutely batty. You have my sympathies.

Daycare did that with DD a couple times when she was wee. Once, they told us she had pinkeye and we had to get her immediately.
She had seasonal allergies and had been rubbing her eye so it was a little red. The doctor (that we had to take her to in order to send her back the next day) was basically "TF you think this is pinkeye?"
I need to celebrate that I finally got a second Covid shot into my younger kid!
Backstory:
He got COVID three weeks before vaccines were approved for his age group (age 4). I waited a little bit and got him his first shot in August before school. The day before he was scheduled for dose 2, he had a very faint positive for Covid again. I am not sure he actually had it because three days later he tested negative, but we treated it like a positive. We decided to get it four weeks later. He gets bronchitis that week. I schedule it four weeks after that because it lingered forever. He tested positive for flu. That turned into an eternal cold and I finally scheduled it again for December. He got hand, foot and mouth.
He actually has a bad cold now too, but we leave on a cruise in two weeks, and we are not sailing without the full vaccination series.
This poor kid has been through the wringer this year with sickness. I am so relieved to have it done!
Here to report that DS finally got his booster yesterday. He has a sore arm and went to sleep unusually fast last night, but that was his only symptom. I'm glad because for the initial series he had fevers and a headache.
While we were there at the mobile vaccination bus, there was a steady stream of people in and out.

Based on messaging from my pedi office, the CDC flu map, etc, I feel like "tripledemic" activity has settled down compared to two months ago, yet I still see people on local FB groups and whatnot asking where to find children's Tylenol or Motrin. Are there still supply issues? Or are people hoarding it when they see it now and creating scarcity?

It’s impossible to find here still but we also got notifications from daycare about flu (multiple cases), RSV, and Covid (multiple cases) last week, and our peds hospital is still struggling with capacity so while we aren’t at quite the record breaking highs we were at a month ago it’s still pretty bad here.
Can confirm that finding children's medications is still very hard. DH went to 4 places last night and came back empty handed. We did a crash course in adult medication for DD because 1. it's time and 2. we had no other choice. It did not go great but she's getting there.
Flu and Covid have peaked here but there are still a million things going around. DD has some sort of random virus that just makes her throat feel like it's on fire. I feel like we are back in Kindergarten with all the constant illnesses.

Still scarce here and online, but it's oddly specific to children's liquid formulations of acetaminophen and ibuprofen. I'm able to get children's chewable for ages 2-11. I see a lot of parents on my local parent FB groups hunting for liquid, and switching to chewable is usually my first rec.
Infant formulations are also readily available. I haven't seen news of this happening, but I really hope this shortage doesn't result in a parent accidentally administering infant meds, just because it was what was available, at an improper dosage. It's so easy to do because it's so concentrated.
