What’s the Dem strategy for voting against adjoining? So they can sit through another 90 min with no resolution? As much as I enjoy the petty, Seems like an expensive way to make a point.

It sounds like they never gavel it until all votes are counted and she has the final tally. I did not realize that with the previous votes. I think it was not an issue because no one was trying to flip anyone at the end of other votes.

I would think their issue is with adjourning until Monday. I was surprised he asked for noon on Monday. I would not be surprised if they adjourn until tomorrow if this fails. I also would not be surprised if they vote again at this point.

It’s pretty lose/lose for Dems even if they adjourn. Most are already stranded at least for tonight and already canceled the freshman retreat and so on. I don’t blame them for trying to insist that their colleagues actually do their jobs so everyone can return to what they’re supposed to be doing instead of this massive waste of time.
