How about old stuff? If you can get your hands on Party Down it's amazing.
Do you know where this might be streaming? I watched it on DVD back when Netflix was mailing them out (LOL), but I’d love to rewatch. I remember really liking it.
Netflix still sends out DVDs! Still a great way to get things that aren’t available streaming and DVDs are still released all the time.

YellowJackets is Lord of the Flies mixed with Lost. It’s so good. There are a couple gory things but it’s more suspenseful, I would not say it is scary.
And I really like Fleishman. Give Clare Dane all the awards.

Someone on Randoms mentioned Blockbuster (Netflix) so I'll throw that out there. It's funny and light, and the actor who owns the store isn't bad to look at
And as I said in Randoms I'm hooked after episode one of Flieshman. I'm not a big fan of the actor who plays the main character, but I think he's right for it (so far). I'm also here for grown up Seth Cohen and can't see past that, lol.

That was me! It's not what I'd call a high budget show, but it's surprisingly funny. Especially if you are a movie nerd and/or have a lot of nostalgia about going out to rent movies instead of just streaming.
I'll also throw out Space Force on Netflix for anyone looking for hard satire, but sadly it got cancelled. Whomp whomp.
it’s not like horror gore, it’s more like drama gore if that makes sense.
Like Game of Thrones?
Yellowjackets is so good, but there are definitely some gory parts, although not like GoT. It's more like medical trauma and survival gore. If you want, I can put mild spoilers of the types of medical trauma I can remember.
Definitely strong characters in suspenseful/creepy situations. Not exactly heartwarming. It sucks you in because it's a good mystery (like Lost was before it went off the rails).
It's coming back on March 24 apparently, and now I kind of want to watch S1 again.
I’ve seen the original Ghosts but not the American remake. Has anyone seen both ? Looking at the episode descriptions they seem pretty similar.
I’ve seen both. They start out pretty similar but as American shows have more episodes, they diverged. I actually really like both now! I watched the British first and leaned to that one, but now really like the American.
IT Crowd On Netflix. Slow Horses on Apple. If you like British Crime, this one is really good. Derry girls Sex education Abbott Elem
If you want to know where to find shows, download Just Watch app. You plug in what streaming services you have, and when you search a show, it tells you what it’s on and whether you have it or not.
I’m super late to the game but I’m watching The Good Fight and really like it. It’s on Paramount+
The Good Fight is amazing. Easily one of my favorite shows of all time and continues to get better each season (the first season is actually my least fav although at the time I really loved it.)
Recently I’ve enjoyed watching (some of it pretty mindless): Firefly Lane Kindred The Peripheral Partner Track
If you liked Mare of Easttown, you might like Inside Man with Stanley Tucci and David Tennant. A similar and quirky crime drama. I think it's on Netflix.
We started this and I totally forgot about it. I've really wanted to see Only Murder in the building, I don't know why we haven't watched it. We're watching Monarch which is quite the soap opera!
I see Longmire on Netflix and that looks good. Has anyone watched that?

We liked Longmire! Sort of a classic mystery/cop drama/western type show.

Thank you for reminding me that I got behind on this one and need to go back and finish it. Ok, actually I got kind of annoyed with the season where the judge was like an anti-judge on the side with totally bizarre things and stopped for a bit - but need to go back to it.

Kindred was good. Can’t wait for season 2. I like 1923 more than Yellowstone. Really good! We rewatched Game of Thrones and it was more amazing the second time through. I’m kind of meh about a lot of the shows on right now.

I'm watching Yellowstone, but this season is really WTF so far.
Happy to hear that 1923 is good, I've only watched the first 20 minutes of the first episode so far. I haven't finished 1883--I'm finding it very hard to do so because it is SO SLOW.
I didn’t read all the replies but my husband and I are enjoying Kaleidoscope on Netflix. It goes in a different order depending on your geolocation. So we’re not watching the same thing as our friends a few miles away.
