My first inclination is a reading area, but I feel like that’s my answer to everything lol. Do you guys play games or do puzzles where you could set up a game area? Maybe a pool table (might be too big for the space?), foosball table, something like that? I don’t know, I’m bad at this which is why I have so many empty rooms in my house.
My husband would suggest a couple of stand up arcade games.
I would also think about how that space is going to feel from inside the office and how it will affect the light/look in the office.
However you use it, will be a tertiary space in your home while the office (assuming you do some WFH) is a primary space. One of the purposes it will serve is being decoration/wall art/lighting for the office. Design it with that angle in mind and pay attention to aesthetics. I'd avoid anything really big (except possibly something like a low chaise or low coffee table).
You definitely need some plants. Snake plants are very hardy and tolerant of neglect. A large one in a large pot (like this: www.westelm.com/products/mid-century-turned-wood-leg-planter-black-gold-d7166/ ) in the corner would look great. Maybe some larger cushy chairs centered on that wall with the lamp in between them.
Eta: center the chairs but use a lamp in this style in the same corner to not make the space between the chairs/table cluttered.
I’ve always wanted a cute bar cart but don’t really have a space that makes sense for it. So I’d get one of those plus a comfy oversized chair and some plants.
Table for plants by the window and a small couch/oversized chair, small side table & lamp in the other corner.
Back in 2015 my parents bought me a small couch from Costco to fit in my very small loft area. When I moved my mom was all it's ok if you get rid of that couch. I was very are you kidding me?! It fits my small stature perfectly and no one else in my family uses it! I love to curl up with on book all snuggled in with a blanket on it. Anyways.
Is there a good view out those windows? I’d probably nestle a cozy chair and ottoman at angle looking out the windows, and line the wall behind it with bookshelves. Maybe get a little table and a groovy lamp from a vintage store to set beside it, and add a plant or two along the windows.

I wish. It’s just our suburban backyard surrounded by a privacy fence lol
