So this whole thing is exceptionally crazy. Not shocked that Barr is so corrupt and he tried to protect trump even after appointing Durham.

“Special Counsel John Durham’s probe into the Russia investigation, despite The New York Times reporting on Thursday that Durham and former Attorney General Bill Barr, who appointed him, may have abused their investigative powers in a litany of ways, including by using sketchy Russian intelligence to gain access to the emails of an aide to Hungarian billionaire George Soros, a frequent target of right-wing conspiracies.”

According to NYT reporter on MSNBC, while investigating, they uncovered some other reported wrong doing by the former disgraced impeached potus and then Barr proceeded to bury that tip. My god.

Fun tangential fact: My DH was called for the federal jury selection process for a Durham case here in VA against the guy who was apparently the main source for the Steele dossier.

DH didn't end up getting selected for the trial, but I was all agog about whether he might be. And of course you're supposed to be hush-hush about the process. I didn't ever really think about how federal juries & grand juries are empaneled and apparently we live close enough to a federal court be in the selection pool.

The dude was found not guilty of lying to the FBI and it was another Durham prosecution flop.
