GOP Rep. Clyde hands out assault-rifle lapel pins to House colleagues
By his own acknowledgment, Rep. Andrew S. Clyde (R-Ga.) has been handing out lapel pins shaped like assault rifles to fellow GOP lawmakers — an exercise that comes in the wake of a spate of mass shootings and during a week intended to honor survivors of gun violence.
Late Thursday, Clyde, who owns a gun store, tweeted a video about his efforts.
“I hear that this little pin that I’ve been giving out on the House floor has been triggering some of my Democratic colleagues,” he said in the video. “Well, I give it out to remind people of the Second Amendment of the Constitution and how important it is in preserving our liberties.”
Later during the hearing, Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-Fla.) asked Navaroli a follow-up question about the contents of Teigen's tweet.
"Would you like me to give the direct quote?" Navaroli asked before continuing, "Please excuse my language — this is a direct quote — but Chrissy Teigen referred to Donald Trump as a 'p***y ass bitch.'"

That quote is now forever enshrined in the congressional record. 🤣🤣🤣
Musician and E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt gave Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) a head cover as a gift, as the congressman continues his battle with cancer.
Raskin tweeted on Saturday about receiving the cover and posted a picture of himself wearing it.
Back story- there was some criticism of Raskin for wearing a bandana during hearings, he said he was inspired by SVZ to wear it (I think it was from Fox or Newsmax or some other right wing garbage)
Portions of a Georgia special grand jury's final report on Donald Trump's efforts to overturn the state's 2020 presidential election should be publicly released over the objection of prosecutors, a state judge ruled on Monday.
The panel's findings, which have remained sealed since the existence of the report was disclosed in January, could potentially serve as the basis for criminal charges against Trump or his associates who attempted to reverse Democratic President Joe Biden's statewide victory.
The decision on whether to file criminal charges ultimately lies with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. At a court hearing on Jan. 25, Willis told Fulton County Superior Court Judge Robert McBurney that charging decisions were "imminent" and urged him to keep the grand jury report under wraps for now to ensure future defendants cannot cry foul.
Willis is expected to appeal the decision, which would likely delay any release of the report until the appeal is resolved. (Reporting by Joseph Ax; Editing by Daniel Wallis)

What a fucker.
I .... What happened to the right to LIFE? I mean, fuck these people. The right to own a gun is literally more important to them than actual life. I will never understand this mindset. This is the true brainwashing of this country.

This is the same a-hole who described the armed insurrection on the US capital as a normal tourist visit.

He is the rep for where we have our second home. Really makes me question wanting to retire there (it's as red as red can be, tiny little bit blue)
He and his family have had a roller coaster year. I hope he finds treatment that helps him.
Selfishly, I wish he could have longevity in the Senate because I think he is a candidate that elicits wide support across the state. But I am not sure that it will be the best choice for him or his family to run again, if he makes it through his six years.
