L: The Five Year Old had the sniffles (probably the same sniffles the nine year old had, and I had, which were not covid) so msniq insisted that she not travel for midwinter break. I stayed home with her and spent $4K to buy tickets that leave two days later so we at least get some of the vacation.

We got stuck out in the state forest on Saturday. Like really stuck, ice under snow. We estimated a tow truck would have been $300-400, IF.... if we could even have reached them by phone. A kind soul with a MAGNIFICENT beard and his sweet pups showed up 45 minutes later, pulled us out and wouldn't take any $. I wish I'd had some weed or beer with me to offer There are good people out there. BIG WIN. BIG.
