Is it weird to anyone else that he started rambling about the "threats" while on the phone with 911 even though he wasn't asked?
He’s been setting up the boat crash as the motive for someone else to kill them since the beginning. Bodycam footage has him saying this as soon as they arrive on scene.

Yeah I knew that. It was just odd to me that he was ready with that answer. But I also think he's guilty as sin.
I'm going to have to turn it off. This guy is trying so hard to be all folksy. Every time they ask a distance, his response "as the crow flies it's..."
Whether he killed his wife and son or not (I fully believe he did), this man stole millions of dollars from his dead housekeeper's children one of whom is a vulnerable adult as well as a deaf, quadriplegic man and his family. He is a despicable excuse for a human being.

Absolutely.
I watched the new Netflix series and my hatred for him was reignited.
If they find him guilty, I will think this. Right now the defense and him are just doing word salad to confuse the jurors and I am afraid some will buy it.
Where is the prosecutor going with these questions? Am waiting for the set up.
I think to show how much leeway and cover law enforcement has given his family.
Ahhh interesting. It’s funny how he seems to remember details and dates and years for stuff but for the important stuff the opioids cause him not to remember I guess.

Also from the recap: The prosecutor may be setting up an opportunity to suggest that Murdaugh’s inside knowledge of the legal world made him think he could get away with murder.
Hearing his stance on not realizing his badge was hanging out of his pocket the night of the boat crash versus multiple parents and kids in the Netflix documentary talking about how he behaved at the hospital to cover up Paul's involvement has me raging.
The prosecuter did not do a good job of showing the relevance of any of his questions or bringing it all together; he couldn't wrap up his points. Hopefully he can regroup and do better tomorrow.

I agree. Only day 1 so am sure they weren’t sure how his answers would go. Now they have the night to think it through. I think it’s gonna be a hung jury unless they can really nail him or trip him up when it comes to the events of that night.
