Maame by Jessica George (good but not as good I was expecting)
The Wife Before by Shanora Williams (bad, bad retelling of Rebecca)
The Survivalists by Kashana Cauley (a little odd)
The Truth About Melody Browne by Lisa Jewell (her transition from general fiction to thriller/mystery/suspense)
Becoming Free Indeed: My Story of Disentangling Faith from Fear by Jinger Duggar Vuolo with Corey Williams (I do not know much about the Duggars but this book was basically her condemning the church she grew up in bit by bit)
Stone Cold Fox by Rachel Koller Croft (oddly sordid but okay?)
A Good House for Children by Kate Collins (very good!)
I Hope This Finds You Well: Poems by Kate Baer (okay)
I Have Some Questions for You by Rebecca Makkai (excellent!)

4 stars Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone by Benjamin Stevenson (I have a spoilery question if anyone else has read this) Perfect Little World by Kevin Wilson (I liked one review that said it was weird but not quite weird enough)
3 stars Moon of the Crusted Snow by Waubgeshig Rice (dystopian, felt a little flat to me) Notes on an Execution by Danya Kufafka (thoughts in book club thread)
5* Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez All the Broken Places by John Boyne
4* Daughter of the Reich by Louise Fein Last Christmas in Paris by Hazel Gaynor

I read Personal - a Jack Reacher book. A very typical Jack Reacher book. We are the Light by Matt Quick. I wanted to like this one so bad because I know the author and I liked Silver Linings Playbook, but I did not like it at all. On The Way by Pam Northrup. This is a religious book about helping someone through hospice. My mom died recently, so it was comforting.
Visual: 4* We Are All So Good at Smiling by Amber McBride 4* Flight of the Puffin by Ann Braden (middle grade level), with my DS 3* The Maidens by Alex Michaelides 3* One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle
