We got water damage in our finished basement and are replacing the old carpet. Since we do sometimes get water down there (despite drains and pumps), I'm thinking LVP.
I don't want to spend a ton of money because we don't use the basement as a living space at this point, but I also don't want to go super cheap and regret it. Anyone have a solid mid-range LVP that they have used and liked?
We used the Stainmaster brand from HD (or was it Loew's?) in our basement. It's been about four years and we've been very hapoy with it. We also don't use the space a lot, mostly as a makeshift workout area for me, but I'm really glad we went with LVP after seeing our neighbors' basements flood. I also like the look of it (brown wood look).
Costco also carries a brand of LVP and is probably a lot cheaper than the big box places.

Ooh yeah, I didn’t think about Costco! That’s a great idea, I’m almost always happy with the brands they carry. Thanks!
Coming my response from an old thread below in quotes. I can text you some pics tomorrow if you want to see what we have down there. It look brand new. It does have a more hollow sound in the lower basement but its a play room so I don't care. We had water spill from the furnace at one point and it was super easy to clean up. It basically just sat on top of the LVP.
We have wood tile in the gym and in the boys' bathroom. It was there when we moved in and didn't change it. Its fine but I like the LVP much better.
"We used Core-tec. I think thats what it was called. I really like the color, but it definitely isn't hardwood. It might be that our floor isn't even everywhere, but it sounds and feels different than HWF.
I would go walk on some and look at large spaces/pieces in person before you choose.
Also, I know you don't care about resale, so put in what works for you We didn't buy our home because of the floors so having a bunch of HW that just needed to be refinished and stained was a bonus, not a must."
