There’s 5 women’s cases involved in the lawsuit and they did a press conference at the state Capitol today. We all need to support and celebrate the brave people coming forward to challenge the authoritarian laws that are coming out of TX, FL and other states.
PDQ: I know someone in TX who was not pro-choice but ended up having a situation like this, where they had to fly out of state to get adequate medical care with no family support and their opinion on abortion has done a 180. Sad they had to personally experience it first, but I think stories like this will change people’s minds when they realize this could happen to them or their loved ones.

Unfortunately I don’t think this is going to change much.
"The group wants clarification of the law, which they say is written vaguely and has made medical professionals wary of facing liability if the state does not consider the situation a medical emergency."
The antis are saying that the law is clear and that it’s hospital lawyers who are the ones who are misinterpreting the law. There is so much fear and understandable confusion from this. So If the law is made more clear that if your blood pressure is below 100/50 for example then you can have an abortion, is that really want we want? No. Of course I do appreciate that people are willing to share their stories for the greater good.
Yes some people do change their minds and go from being antis to being pro-abortion but that’s not always the case. Loud protestors will be protesting one day, go get their abortion in the clinic the next day and then go back out to protesting.
Sorry to be a Debbie downer, it all just seems overwhelming and like nothing is going to change.
