I have been using Hootsuite for my two clients, but in the past three years, the price for the lowest paid tier has gone from $300 to $1200.
$1200 is completely unreasonable for my level of use. I asked for other recs though, and I was referred to Sprout Social which is actually even more expensive.
Are there any good management platforms under maybe $300/year? When I google I'm having trouble finding reliable, unbiased recommendations.
I really only need scheduling and very basic reporting.
We use Buffer in our organization. We’re also a non-profit, so we get a discounted rate. I’m not in charge of social media so I don’t know if it does everything Sprout or Hootsuite can do.

Thank you! This looks like much more reasonable pricing. I'm going to try it out.
I honestly don't use even half the features of Hootsuite. A basic scheduler with standard reports is fine.
I use Hubspot for a lot of different marketing, including managing our social media. I know they have different tiers, including free, depending on what exactly you need.

This is what my daughter’s fiancée does for a living.
I actually don’t know what company she works for or how much things cost, but I can message her.
ETA: I’m actually thinking what she charges is prob more than what you’re looking for, because she does a ton of traveling for promotion of what she’s managing.
Thanks chilerellanos-- I am actually the one being paid to make the messages though. I'm just looking for a platform that allows you to manage all accounts in one place and schedule posts. The platform I was using went from free to $1200 a year in a matter of a few years! I'm going to try the suggestions that people posted above. Hopefully one will work!
LOL, I was just complaining to my social media strategist about the Hootsuite thing. We used to pay for Pro and I was Very Offended when they hiked their rates a little more than a year ago without offering direct publishing to most emerging platforms. So we moved to Loomly for post scheduling (I'm 50/50 on it after a year) but I kept my regular Hootsuite account for the dashboard. Now that's going up too, so I asked my strategist to look at Sprout and other options and she which one she likes best. IMO there isn't a perfect platform for someone who needs to do sentiment monitoring AND calendar posts across every major platform.
ETA: If all you need is scheduling take a look at Loomly. I really like its workflow functions if you have a client who needs to approve copy.
We use Sprout and I just signed a $26K contract so I would definitely not recommend them for your needs! (We have seven licenses and use the employee advocate program for 500 people so this is not an apples to apples price.)
Our company uses 4usocial. I don’t know much about any of it, but that’s where we can schedule our posts for work. Otherwise, I know nothing about it. Lol
