Anyone know where I can buy some (I need wide width). I need some for work in two weeks and have no idea where to look. When I have looked before I never had much luck.
a quick Zappos search pulls up tons. Literally just searched "steel toe shoe women." Not sure if that's what you're looking for, but there are lots of options there. Not really high fashion, but....I'd imagine steel toe shoes rarely are.
As someone who wears wide width shoes, that's definitely your limiting factor. I wouldn't be afraid to look at men's shoes. My hiking boots came from the men's dept because there were so few wide options for women.

I have to wear them for work every single day. Can you wear tennis shoes? I buy some on amazon by some weird brand for around 45.00 but they are way more more comfortable than any of the ones I have tried from Zappos.
I bought a cute pair from mellow walk but they actually aren't great for a day with a bunch of walking.
I REALLY want a pair of XENA chelsea boots but haven't pulled the trigger yet
Men's shoes are wider than womens and will open you up to options if you just need a boot or sneaker. I need to check out these XENA pairs, it is always a struggle dressing professionally with clunky shoes.
My take on women’s steel toes is they are often wider than standard shoes, so you may be fine with regular ones. I have tried to find a pair I like and have never had much luck, but you can easily try a variety from Zappos or Amazon.
Walmart carries them in stock, but I have only been able to find men’s boots there recently, no women’s.
The Xena ones look great, but I can’t justify the cost since I don’t need them often.
Finding women's steel toes sucks. PP have mentioned Red Wing, but I put that in my sucks category. You walk into a Red Wing store and there are 600 pairs of shoes and 8 are women's. I hate getting them online because there is absolutely no "breaking in" steel toes. Do a search for Safe Guard shoes near you. They have a decent selection. Do you know what type you want? If you are looking for boots, I like Timberlands and they run true to size. I have a few friends that swear by the Skechers brand of steel toes. I like Keen for low tops. The ones I have on now are Merrell. There are some good choices, but if you have a chance to try them on before you buy, that's the way to go. Are you paying for them or is your work paying for them? We have a $180 yearly allowance here, and that is good for one pair. Good steel toe shoes are pricey, but if you're going to wear them every day, you want them.
I've never heard of the Xena brand before. Some of those are cute! Be careful if you get ones with heels. Depending on where you work, there may be a lot of uneven flooring.
New Balance also makes a few steel toe options though I don't know how readily available they are. New Balance shoes tend to be wider and deeper than other shoes, but they do generally have wide widths available.

My work is paying for them but I have to find out what my allowance is.
Thanks everyone for the suggestions, I will take a look.

I get mine from Danner. We have a local store, but they are sold online through a variety of retailers. I typically wear wide shoes due to bunions, but the round toe box of most steel toe shoes means I don't actually need a wide. They do make wide women's boots at Danner, but they are overkill for what I need. Also check and see if you actually need steel toe or can do a composite toe, etc... They will be much lighter depending on what you need to wear them for.
