I know they are all different...but we can't decide. We are looking for a November trip (9 nights including travel). I've done a spreadsheet for each with costs and places-we still can't decide...help, please?
Spain-Barcelona, Madrid, Seville Argentina-BA, Mendoza, El Calafate Brazil-Rio, Iguazu, Salvador

What do you like to do in general? What appeals to you about each destination?
I feel like both your Argentina and Brazil itineraries are too much for 9 days. Yes, you can do them both, but you'll be racing around and won't really have time to enjoy any of the destinations. I'd pick 2 of the 3 if you go to either of those countries.

My vote is for Argentina but I dont know if you will have enough time to travel between the cities. I think you will end up spending a lot of time in airports. If you do go to Spain you can do all of your traveling by train and be in each city in less than 3 hours.

Of your choices, I would so Spain. Those 3 cities could be done in 9 nights. I would probably do it Madrid (3 nights), Seville (2 nights), and Barcelona (4 nights). Or you could cut Seville and just do Madrid and Barcelona - 4 nights and 5 nights respectively. That would give you time for some day trips from both cities.
I opened this post because I thought, "ooo, three of my favorite places in the whole world!"
That said, with 9 days, I would do Spain. Getting around is quick and easy.
I would try to do a 15-20 day trip in the future and combine Brazil and Argentina if you wish. You could cross into Brazil from Argentina at Iguacu Falls and then there are relatively cheap flights from there to Rio on Varig, TAM and possibly other airlines.
Or you could do two weeks in either Argentina or Brazil alone and feel less rushed. Brazil, particularly, is massive and it's not very easy to get around by land.
