I'm typing this from my new kindle fire.

I was holding out for so long but now I'm so excited to start reading, etc. Makes posting so much easier too!

H got it for my bray. Surprise was ruined because he didn't know it was sitting by the front door. Happy early bday to me!

I got my husband one for his birthday! I can't wait to steal it!

His birthday isn't until Thursday, but it was delivered a few weeks ago. And like you, he picked it up from the porch. And I hadn't had it wrapped, so it said KINDLE FIRE on the side. And he didn't notice, because he claims to have no idea what he's getting for his birthday. And I believe him, because he's a terrible liar. We get Amazon deliveries all the time though (mostly cat food and litter), so I think maybe he's telling the truth.

Sweet! We have been eyeballing one. Can you surf the whole web with it, or is it limited like a Roku and other devices are? We basically want one for a portable TV, and we get everything off the web.
