I have about 22 hr connection. Into orly and out cdg, both in the am (11 and 9 approx). At least no jet lag will be involved.
I'll get a hotel close to cdg with shuttle. I'll take recs but probably ibis.
I'll store my bag for the day, wander around and eat lots. I've been a couple times, so there's no pressing sightseeing. Then collect my bag and head to the airport hotel.
The question is which is most convenient for left luggage? Gare Nord? It is carryon size if that makes a difference.
this is my return. That's why no jet lag. I've been in same time zone but pretty much everything to get there goes through a European hub before going to a middle eastern hub. It only takes a couple days
How are you planning to go from Paris to CDG? This would dictate where I leave my bag. When I've done this in the past, I took a bus from Gare Montparnasse to CDG. I don't like the Gare du Nord area. This isn't the safest. Plus trains can get delayed or cancelled. Airport buses are more reliable. www.oasbus.com/cdg-paris-montparnasse/
I stayed at the Ibis Styles and it was great. The airport automatic shuttle is right next to it and you can get to your terminal in a few minutes.

Aloe Vera did you also take the bus from orly? I'm seeing that the former direct shuttle is no longer running. I have no problem taking trains, just curious.
I booked a suite that's not needed but was half cost of ibis and still has a shuttle. Thankfully there's no time crunch between arrival at orly and getting to the hotel.
I'm just hoping the planned airport strike doesn't screw things up too badly. It's not my travel day but close enough to it. I have 20 hours after. The Paris leg is the easy part!
Eta nvm about the bus. The orly shuttle goes to one station and from there I can metro to Montparnasse. Merci

Check for independent luggage storage places like Locker In the City. I used them in Madrid when we were leaving luggage to do an in-between overnight trip.

I'm seriously the only flight out of a small but international airport from the capital and still want 2 hours. As a traveler I feel the proverbial frog. I asked a local host for guidance and completely ignored it. I have time to take her advice but was pearl clutching. Just an hour ahead of departure?!
For reference just over a year ago it took me 4 hrs start to gate, and I never once sat. I may be scarred.
Pp I have a list of places surrounding to leave my bag
